This week Blakemere went to the Cinema!

On Tuesday Blakemere visited the Cinema to see Early Man by Nick Park.  The children thoroughly enjoyed watching the funny animation and also enjoyed the yummy treats! It was lovely to see the children laugh and have fun with their friends. A special thank you to Mrs Boyle for helping us on the trip.

In Maths we have been revisiting odd and even numbers and highlighting the patterns we see.  We have also continued with our multiplication work. In Literacy we wrote about the film we watched at the Cinema; concentrating on the plot, characters and special moments we personally enjoyed.  We also wrote a book review of a favourite book and explained why this book was enjoyable.

In Topic this week the children drew sketches of ancient Egyptian faces, paying attention to the fine detail of shape and accessories. In Science, we explored the beautiful Autumnal grounds for signs of Deciduous and Evergreen plants.

This is my final week in Blakemere and I would like to thank all the children and families for making me feel so welcome.  I have enjoyed every moment.  There are many special memories I could share, but my favourite has to be when all sitting on the carpet I said "time flies by", referring to my time in Blakemere and the whole class broke into the song by George Ezra, Shot Gun!! Thank you for the kind wishes and generous gifts, I will treasure them.  I look forward to joining Blakemere next week on their trip to the Buddhism Centre.

Have a happy weekend and thank you once again, have the best time in Blakemere!
