Blakemere have had a busy final week of term!

The final week in school has been filled with Christmas fun but we have also squeezed in lots of work too. In literacy we have written our final story draft in our neatest writing, and completed a reading comprehension based on Christmas. In numeracy we continued our multiplication and division work, solving Christmas themed code breakers and using the Macbooks to practice multiples and recall facts through games on Purple Mash.

This week we were pleased to invite Steph from Young Carers to talk to the children about what a young carer is and how Young Carers can provide support. The children remembered lots from the assembly a few weeks ago.

To top off the week we have made marshmallow snowmen, Christmas cards and are looking forward to today's party lunch and pantomime.

The children have been given an optional times tables homework for the holidays.

Finally I would like to say a huge thank you to Mrs Dodd who will be working with Hatchmere after Christmas, you will be greatly missed in Blakemere.

We hope your holidays are refreshing and filled with joy and laughter!

Merry Christmas,

Miss Wood and Mrs Dodd!
