I hope you have all had a lovely and restful summer. We have had a wonderful first week back!

It has been fantastic to watch the children embrace the excitement of being in Key Stage 2! They all look very smart in their new uniforms.

Blakemere have been very excited to get stuck into our topic about inspiring people in nature and conservation. The children have filled their topic webs with lots of interesting questions that they would like to research over the next few weeks.

In Literacy, the children have been getting creative and writing a story about a child who gets turned into the size of an ant! I have loved reading their stories and seeing all of the brilliant adjectives, adverbs and similes that they have used.

As a Delamere tradition, the children complete self portraits in their sketchbooks at the start of each year. The children have enjoyed looking back at their previous attempts and seeing how much their sketching skills have improved.

In CARE, we have created our classroom rules and we have been exploring strategies that we can use to help us when we are feeling worried.

I have been very impressed with their hard word and attitude this week. Well done!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Miss Lewis and Mrs Campbell.
