On Monday afternoon, the children were treated to a fantastic production of Beauty and the Beast by the Schools West End Production Team. The children loved joining in with the actions, songs and the plate challenge!

During the week, the children have been getting into the festive spirit by participating in lots of Christmas activities. In R.E., the children learned about the advent wreath and the meaning of each of the candles. Afterwards, the children made their own versions. In maths, we have been solving the mystery of the Christmas party by using our knowledge of place value and addition and subtraction and in literacy we have been recapping on our knowledge of suffixes and prefixes through solving the Christmas pudding conundrum. We have also been making and decorating christmas baubles and pop-up cards!

It is absolutely wonderful looking back at the progress that all of the children have made. They have worked very hard throughout the term and I am incredibly proud of each and every child. Thank you for your continuous support throughout this term. I have really enjoyed this term with Blakemere and I am very excited for Spring term!

A lot of us have been poorly this week - I hope you all get lots of rest and hope you feel better in time for Christmas!

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and make special memories with your family. Thank you very much for all of your kind, generous and thoughtful cards and gifts.

Best wishes,

Miss Lewis and Mrs Campbell.
