Blakemere had a brilliant time this week on their visit to Eddisbury Hillfort with our school expert Mrs Campbell!

The day before in preparation we learned all about Hillforts and how they were used. We have also recorded our Christmas songs for the KS2 festive performance, we are so proud of you all. Please see the attached link to watch the performance:

The children have also loved the experience of witnessing it in real life and hearing the information and stories surrounding this area.

The children have been working extremely hard in maths this week, using practical resources to enable them to solve tricky word problems and crack maths codes!

In Literacy the children have been enjoying listening to the Fox story and observing the amazing illustrations in the text. The children have been using a variety of conjunctions that link in with the text too.

In Art the children have been working hard on their drawing techniques, learning step by step how to draw an eye.

**It is the children’s Iron Age workshop on Tuesday so the children are welcome to wear a themed fancy dress to mark this day. We are going to be learning about how they lived, Stonehenge and take part in practical activities. **

Have a lovely weekend!

Mr Huddart, Mrs Evans and Mrs Venables.
