Blakemere have been treated to two absolutely fantastic workshops this week and have had the best time!

To start the week, we were celebrating Diverse book week by having storyteller Richard O’Neil into class. He told an hilarious story about a wooden spoon and shared a range of diverse texts with the children.

On Wednesday we had Gary from UKParlEducation into class, he was teaching the children about how Parliament works and even let the children lead a debate on plastic pollution. It has been so lovely seeing them giggle and laugh so much!

In literacy the class have been writing some beautifully descriptive sentences about whales, working well to include fronted adverbials. Finally in maths the children have been working on their place value understanding by working with non-standard units. They have also enjoyed solving puzzles and number problems.

Today the children have taken part in another fun musical lesson with teacher Rob Benson.

Have a lovely weekend.
