Blakemere absolutely loved learning about Marcus Rashford this week!

They gained an understanding of his life before football and the incredible achievements through his charity work in recent years. Also as part of this work the children learned how to use charcoal to create a beautifully shaded Rashford themed piece of work.

On Thursday the children were celebrating National Poetry Day by creating their own version of ‘There’s A Monster in The Garden’ by David Harmer. We were so impressed by their imagination and use of adjectives for this. Finally, in Literacy we have been writing our draft report on Blue Whales, we were amazed by some of the facts and knowledge the children had on these amazing animals.

In maths we have been learning how to order and arrange increasingly larger numbers, showing reasoning for how we do this.

Finally this week, with the whole school there, we took part in a lovely Harvest Festival in the hall with Reverend Angela. In preparation for this the children wrote beautiful acrostic poems.

Have a lovely weekend.

Mr Huddart and Mrs Campbell.
