This week has been children’s mental health awareness week in school and we’ve been enjoying taking part in something different activities.

We enjoyed taking part in a relaxation and stretch class on Tuesday. The children enjoyed it so much they wanted to do it again in our PE session today. It’s lovely to see the children exploring different breathing techniques and ways to relax their bodies. We’ve also been talking about things that make us unique and how we can be accepting and kinds towards others. Keep an eye out on twitter for pictures of all the things we’ve been getting up to.

On Tuesday it was also safer Internet day, we talked about ways we can stay safe when using our ipads. Each of the children made a poster using emojis to help others to stay safe on their ipads. Here is a link to the story that we used to help teach us about staying safe online, maybe you could share this with your child at home:

It has also been assessment week this week and the children have been taking part in phonics assessments and benchmarking. When the children are benchmarked they read a specific book that assess there reading abilities, both phonics related and comprehension related. We will be sharing these assessments with you at parents evening after half term.

Have a lovely weekend.
