This week in Forest skills Hatchmere completed a rainbow nature hunt.

The children were challenged to work individually to find natural objects that matched the colours. We spoke about not picking flowers and how this would stop the plant from growing and concentrated on finding items that had fallen off trees or plants naturally. This was a lovely activity to encourage the children to discuss colour in the environment.

This week Hatchmere were also taught peer massage by Mrs Price, this is taught as a relaxation technique that children can perform on each other (if given permission by the other child!). We learnt different techniques, make sure to ask your child if they can demonstrate any one you!

Thank you to everyone who is completing the homework’s each week, it’s been lovely to see all the children’s hard work in the homework celebrations on a Wednesday afternoon. Make sure to look at the Hatchmere Homework section if you would like more information.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Hume, Mrs Lloyd and Mrs Lathaen
