Wow, what a year we've had!

We can't believe this year has gone so quick, we've achieved so much and the children have made so much progress over the year! Each child has worked incredibly hard and the Hatchmere staff are burst with pride when we think back to the start of the year compared to now!

A few of our favourite highlights have been the fantastic school trips we've been on. We started with a trip to Beeston Castle, then to see Father Christmas, we then went to Techniquest and finally our recent trip to the beach. In between all those exciting trips we've had visitors from the Chester Zoo safari ranger, the RSPB, a viking, a Hinduism workshop and many more! These engaging experiences have allowed the children to fully enjoy and be excited about their learning!

One of the most fantastic things this year has been watching the children grow in confidence. The Nativity was the start of their confidence in speaking in front of an audience. After just under a term in school they amazed everyone with their singing and delivering their lines so clearly! We then went onto perform a collective worship to the whole school in the Spring term and another collective worship in St Peters church in the summer.

Within class we've also enjoyed lots of opportunities to dress up such as; pirate day, aspirations day, world book day and Christmas jumper day. We've formed lots of friendships over the year and enjoyed exploring the role play area of the classroom, the construction area and the outdoor area.

It's been a privilege to be a part of Hatchmere's first year in school and we look forward to seeing them continue to progress in the years ahead! We wanted to say a massive thank you to all the Hatchmere families for all their support over the last year. We're so glad you enjoyed reading your child's report and thank you for your kind words about these. Make sure to have a look in the children's bags for some summer home learning set by Miss Walker in preparation for next year.

Have an amazing summer and we'll see you in September!

Miss Hume, Mrs Lloyd and Mrs Lathaen
