We've had a lovely week enjoying some warmer spring weather!

We've spent lots of time talking about the seasons this week and the change in the season from winter to spring. To celebrate the first day of spring we went on a search for signs of spring on the field. We found lots of new plants and flowers growing. The children completed a chart individually of the signs they found.

During an outdoor phonics lesson on Thursday we spotted another sign of spring, a bird calling from the bird box! We suspect the bird was sat on a nest of eggs and calling to her partner for food! We'll be keeping a close eye on the box for the next few weeks and hopefully we might see some chicks!

We will continue looking at spring changes during our trip to Delamere Forest on Tuesday next week. Thank you to the parents who have volunteered for this trip. Please ensure you have consented to this trip via Eezee trip. All the children need a pack lunch for this trip as the weather is meant to be nice we'll be having a picnic! Please make sure it is in a rucksack your child can carry round the forest. We also encourage families to use as little single use plastic as possible.

Next Friday we also have our mother's day stay and play session, one at 9am and one at 2:15pm for 45 minutes. Please consent to this via Eezee trip.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Hume, Mrs Lloyd, Mrs Lathaen and Mrs Dodd
