This week in school it's healthy eating week.

Healthy eating week is ran by the British Nutrition Foundation and the 5 goals for the children are: 1. Have breakfast, 2. Have 5 a day, 3. Drink Plenty, 4. Get active, 5. Sleep well.

So to incorporate this theme within our school week the children have been trying exotic fruit, which was kindly donated by the Hollies farm shop, we tried apricot, plum, dates, cherries and kiwi! All the children were amazing at trying the different fruits and could talk about why they liked and didn't like them.

This week we also took part in a stretch and relax session and an extra PE lesson with some coaches from AFYA to encourage the children to 'get active'.

After school tomorrow we're holding a healthy tuck shop and Hatchmere are making some 'cheeky monkey bites' with banana, oats and chocolate chips. The tuck shop will take place after school in the hall.

Please remember that tomorrow is own clothes day and the children need to bring in either a childs or adults prize for the tombola or a bottle for the tombola for our summer fair, which is on Friday 28th June.

We hope you have a lovely weekend, lets hope for some sunshine!
