Hatchmere have almost made it to the end of their first full week!

On Tuesday we ventured beyond the carpark to explore our forest school area. The children listened carefully to the forest rules, before collecting cones and sticks to refill the bug hotel. There was lots of counting as the children identified how many cones they had collected.

Today, the children were all super excited (and some a little nervous) for their first swimming lesson. Behaviour was excellent, and both groups were praised by their instructors for excellent listening to instructions.

The rest of the week has been filled with lots of activities such as phonics, counting activities, exploring the continuous provision and outdoor area, reading our new books and even riding scooters! The children have also been very good at trying the school dinners, we've even had lots of empty plates!

Tomorrow we look forward to Little Chefs and our first Show and Tell. Please remember to bring something small, without lots of pieces that may get lost. Items can be placed in lockers in the morning.

You should have received a letter for our first trip to Delamere Forest on 24th September. If you are available to volunteer as an adult helper on the trip, kindly inform Miss Wood. Also, if you would like to volunteer to listen to Hatchmere class readers, please speak to Miss Wood for more information.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Wood, Mrs Lathaen and Mr Hunt
