Hatchmere enjoyed some fresh air this week, they loved swinging and climbing over the equipment in the sunshine.

This week, the children have focused on 'er' (summer) and 'ure' (pure) as well as tricky words 'was, my, you, they'. The have been reading these tricky words within sentences. Can you find any of these words in books at home?

Today in maths, we have focused on number bonds to 10. The children used Numicon to help them find all of the addition bonds.

We have focused on the Easter story in RE, the children were read a story then used puppets and props to act out the story in the continuous provision.

We searched the school grounds looking for signs of spring, then each child wrote their own sentence about what they found. It was interesting to learn about the new buds growing and carefully looking for these on different trees. We also made special cards for Sunday and again focused on our writing skills and letter formation inside of these.

A big well done to this week's stars!
