We've had another fantastic week in Hatchmere and tried to make the most of the dry spells of weather.

The weather hasn’t been great this week but luckily we’ve been able to get out for some lovely outdoor activities. One of those activities was a 3D shape hunt song, following a class input where we recapped the 3D shapes we know already and discussed the properties the children were challenged to find all the 3D shapes they could during a hunt. The children were really good at spotting all the different shapes and enjoyed creating a tally chart.

We’ve continued our under the sea theme this week and created some handprint fish that will be displayed in the library next year.

In phonics we’ve enjoyed being challenged to spell longer words and really apply our phonics skills to write detailed sentences.

We can’t believe we only have 2 weeks left of this school year, what a funny school year it’s been! It’s certainly one we will remember. Lets hope we have some sunny days for our final two weeks in school.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend,

The Hatchmere Team
