Hatchmere have had a busy week!

The children have really enjoyed starting phonics phase two this week.  Beginning with /s/a/t/p, Hatchmere have been on sound hunts, practised letter formation and lots more activities.  Flash cards will continue to go home on a weekly basis, please encourage your child to talk about the sounds of the week and see if you can find things that begin with these sounds.  This could happen in the home, on a dog walk, a car journey or trip to the supermarket.  Sounds are all around us!

Hatchmere also visited the school forest this week to build dens in small groups.  We were so impressed with the kindness, excellent turn taking and fantastic manners throughout.  The children are building wonderful friendships already and we are so proud of them.

Please let us know if you are not receiving any notifications from your child's learning book.  Thank you.

We look forward to another wonderful week together.  Have a restful weekend in the sunshine and we'll see you Monday!
