Hatchmere thoroughly enjoyed their art day this week. Our activities were focused around The Tiger Who Came To Tea! Please see our twitter feed for lots of photos!

During our art day activities the children created some paintings using fruit and shapes to create cups and saucers! They also used bubble wrap with orange and black paint to create a tiger effect. During our craft activity, the children used paper plates to create tigers faces using tissue paper. We also had our role play area set up as a tea party, with a special tiger visitor!

In phonics this week, the children have been focusing on the sounds i, n, m and d. They have even been blending and segmenting!

The have enjoyed learning outside the classroom in maths this week, using numicon shapes to help with their number work in maths.

In CARE, the children read the story 'sharing a shell' and our circle time activities were based around feelings and emtotions.

Have a lovely weekend!

Mrs Birks, Mrs Inskip, Mrs Lathean and Mr Hunt.
