What a busy and creative week!

So this week, the children have learnt about recycling and the importance of caring for our environment.  On Thursday afternoon, we had a visit from the Chester Zoo Safari Rangers, who helped us to understand the human effect of Rubbish on the environment.  The children's eyes were opened to the importance of recycling and that our need for goods, such as plastics and aluminium are having a lasting effect on the environment.

We have really had an environmental focus this week, since we have been looking at the work of Andy Goldsworthy and making land sculptures with leaves.  We have also been recreating the art of JMW Turner with a mixture of medias, including watercolours, collaging oil pastels and acrylics.
