What a fantastic last week, performances, trips and awards.  Well done Year 6 of 2018, you will be missed.

So, the week started with a final dress rehearsal (the first time that the children had rehearsed all together, on stage, with props), which left me feeling a little nervous as to what the actual performance would be like.  Needless to say, I had no need to worry, the children were absolutely fantastic - a super effort all round.

The Awards ceremony took place on Friday morning, with all members of Linmere receiving recognition for their individual skills and talents. The House Captains finally saw their names on the individual House boards and were extremely proud to have their picture taken in front of them.

Then later on Friday, it was with mixed emotions that Linmere shared a picnic and play with their buddies, for the last time!

We also visited The Sandcastle Waterpark in Blackpool, for the Year 6 Leavers Trip.  It is safe to say that I am truly ready for the Summers holiday, as I'm sure are the children.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a magnificent summer and thank each and every one of you for the generous gifts.  Thank you for the loan of your children on their final stage of their Primary school journey.  It is always a privilege to watch them change from little children into Young Adults, who are now ready for the next part of their journey.

Many thanks for all of your support over the past year.

Mrs Carter and the Year 6 team.
