It has been a very busy week Linmere.

Linmere have had another jam packed week, with sporting activities, Remembrance services, drama and of course parents evening.  The children made poppies that are to be displayed at the church during the remembrance day service on Sunday.  They have been learning about the life of Charles Darwin and have begun to write biographies about  his achievements.

Earlier in the week, Linmere was very excited to return to school and to see the unveiling of the Totem.  They particularly enjoyed being part of the whole school photo and were thoroughly impressed by the skills of its creator.

This week, children from Linmere have participated in a number of sports event, including football, girls football and a cross country.  Well done to all those who took part - they always enjoy representing school and their sportsmanship is exemplary.

On Thursday, Linnmere took part in the school's Remembrance service.  It was a particularly poignant tribute to the fallen men and women of the wars, with Mrs Garner reading her poem about her mother's memories of the war.  It was very moving and a fitting tribute.

The children are continuing to enjoy their drama lessons with Little Voices and are becoming more confident performers with every session they attend.  We look forward to another exciting week.
