This week we started with looking back and looking forward. The Year Six focused on their memories of their time at Delamere planning and writing their leavers assembly and the Year Fives are looking forward to their roles as buddies to the new Reception class and wrote cards to welcome to them to our school.

On Wednesday we worked with Mr Jones and Alisha making our final preparations for our Olympic Sports Day opening ceremony. We are going to be singing two songs 'Going for Gold' and Gary Barlow's 'Sing.' Each class will also be performing an Olympic inspired dance .

Our last whole class trip was on Thursday , it was to Chester Zoo.We were so lucky as the weather was amazing and it never rained once !! We tried to see all the creatures but time unfortunately ran out. Some of the highlight were the very chilled spectacled bear, the bats in the bat house swooping past and around our ears and the hatching out of a flamingo.

Friday is a very active day for us, we have two sports coaches coming in to work with us and an afternoon of Let's Bike. Hopefully we will not be too exhausted for our Olympic Sports Day on Saturday.
