What an exciting busy week! The children in Nunsmere have thoroughly enjoyed all the activities this week especially 'The Anglo Saxon Day'.

Tuesday was a fantastic day, the children all looked brilliant in their Anglo Saxon outfits and learnt a lot about the lifestyle and culture of the Anglo Saxons. The hog roast was a huge success; all the children witnessed the hog on the spit and then enjoyed a hog roast banquet. This included homemade leek and potato soup, stuffing, apple sauce and biscuits. The children then went on to write recipes and learn about runes( Anglo Saxon/Viking alphabet)

This week Nunsmere have also continued to develop their knowledge and understanding of Myths and Legends and in place value ( ordering, writing and comparing numbers beyond 1,000)

Well Done Nunsmere

Have a nice weekend
