The children have enjoyed a busy week involving a visit from Rachel Delahaye on Wednesday for World Book Day, where the children heard stories, created story maps and their own stories. Each class had a designated Julia Donaldson book to concentrate and create pieces of written and art work. Nunsmere had 'The Stickman" and have been writing letters from Stickman to his family and drawing and painting illustrations.

I am extremely impressed by the Recyclable Robots and 3d pictures that were created for homework, well one they are superb!!

In literacy, the focus has been analysing informal letters and writing their own letters using learnt knowledge and in maths, the focus has been problem solving using multiplication and division. It is Fair Trade fortnight, so the children have been learning about Fair Trade, the countries involved and The journey of a Fair Trade chocolate bar' - Cocoa bean - chocolate. We even tasted some lovely Fair-trade chocolate! Yum!

Keep warm over the weekend
