The children in Nunsmere have had busy week and have all worked extremely hard. They have thoroughly enjoyed presenting their homework tasks to the rest of the class and finishing their painting linked to York and what we explored on our residential. We have continued to research the artist David Hockney and we have attempted to replicate one of his painting based on Yorkshire.

In literacy, the children have been concentrating on ensuring their learnt grammar is evident in their independent writing about our residential and the focus has also been on the  neatness of their cursive handwriting. In maths, they have been problem solving, focusing on the speed during mental maths and completing end of unit tests. The children have worked hard to apply their knowledge.

Within our topic of 'Solids, Liquids and Gases in Science, the children have applied their knowledge to the properties of particles and experimenting the different states of matter. During our Eco afternoon, we investigated Water Waste and water pollution, the posters that were produced to explain the process of water waste and how to save our water system, were fantastic! Well Done Nunsmere!

Have a lovely bank holiday weekend
