The children in Nunsmere have been busy measuring the Area of shapes and problem solving involving rectilinear shapes. They have been using their prior knowledge and times tables knowledge to solve some complex compound and rectilinear shapes.

Also in maths the focus has still been the speed in which they complete mental maths questions and measurement tests.

In literacy, we have been analysing diary entries and planning /writing diaries from our time in York. In topic we have continued to think about persuading people to come to York and what the main tourist attractions are that can be found there.

There has been a lot of sport as well, not only did half the class go to a hockey competition on Thursday but they have had cricket and swimming as well as their normal P.E sessions.

The children have also enjoyed sharing their homework tasks and a lot of blue certificates have been given out! Well done, keep up the great imagination and hard work!

Have a lovely weekend
