The children in Nunsmere have had a very hot and creative week.

The children have thoroughly enjoyed learning more about electricity this week. They started the week by designing information posters about the primary source of electricity (fossil fuels, wind/hydro and solar power) and how it powers appliances. They then moved on to looking at simple circuits and how to make a bulb light up and then finally we investigated which materials were conductors and which were insulators. Well done Nunsmere!

In maths, we have been estimating angles and measuring them accurately using a protractor and looking at symmetry of 2d shapes.

In Literacy, we have focused heavily on comprehension and newspaper articles. We have analysed the key features of a newspaper and have begun to plan and write our own based on Aliens invading Delamere Academy. The children have worked really hard to use all their grammatical knowledge and apply it to their writing.

Have a lovely weekend in the sun!
