We've had a very busy first week back in Nunsmere class!

A new term means a new topic, and this term our topic is 'how do we celebrate difference?'. This topic will be focused around art and the arts, we have already started looking at famous art throughout history and around the world.

In maths this week we have spent time exploring the number '2019' looking at the place value of the number, rounding the number and looking at decade, centuries and millenniums.

We have started thinking about narrative writing in our literacy lessons. This week, the children finished reading David Walliams' Gangsta Granny and completed a role on the wall as Granny! They have also been exploring the opening, build-up, problem, resolution and ending of narrative stories.

In science we have been looking at solids, liquids and gases and grouping materials based on this.

In RE we have been learning about the 'Kingdom of God' in our Christianity work.

We have been thinking about what the right thing to do is in a range of situations throughout our CARE work and discussing responsible and irresponsible actions.

We have been looking at the history of art in our topic work and found a range of artwork online to create our topic book covers. We have also been discussing what we would like to learn about in our new topic 'how do we celebrate difference?'.

Have a lovely weekend
