Nunsmere class have been working extremely hard this week!

This week the children have been editing redrafting their writing, thinking hard about how they can improve their writing and make their stories more interesting, while including all of the important aspects of grammar that they have been learning about. Mrs Inskip has enjoyed reading some of the finished narratives!

In our grammar work this week we have been looking at modifying prepositional phrases.

In maths we have continued learning about fractions. This week we have focused on adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator and converting fractions into decimals!

We have continued our 'states of matter' topic in science, with a focus on how water can change from a liquid to a solid and gas! The children have also been looking at reversible and irreversible changes.

Nunsmere class have been creating lots of beautiful artwork to go in our library this week. Their artwork has been from the book 'The Gorilla' by Antony Browne.

As it was Chinese New Year on Tuesday, the children enjoyed listening to a special assembly from the children and teachers at Grosvenor Park Academy and St Martins Academy, where they spoke all about their trip to China!

Have a lovely weekend

Mrs Inskip
