Nunsmere class enjoyed a trip to Anderton Boat Lift on Monday!

Nunsmere class enjoyed a trip to Anderton Boat Lift on Monday! They had a river cruise as well as going up in the boat lift. In the afternoon they became engineers, creating their own canals in the sandpit!

This week has been healthy eating week. Nunsmere class have enjoyed trying a range of new fruit and taking part in extra activity challenges! Please see our twitter feed for lots of photos.

In literacy this week, Nunsmere have been focusing on traditional tales. We re read different versions of the story of The Billy Goat's Gruff and discussed what types of words made the story sound better. After focusing on adjectives and nouns, we used a thesaurus to find a range of adjectives to describe the characters and landscapes in the story.

In maths we have continued focusing on shape. This week we have been looking at the properties of quadrilaterals!

We have completed lots of practical work in science this week, based around electricity. Nunsmere class were successfully able to make complete electrical circuits and fix circuits that were incomplete.

We have been focusing on places of worship in our RE work, and have been discussing the range of religious items we would find inside a mosque.

Have a lovely weekend
