Nunsmere have enjoyed making their topic book covers this week!

Through our new topic 'How are things different?' the children have started to learn about the country Australia, which they are going to be comparing to the UK. Here you can see the children using water colours to add animals to their aborigine backgrounds.

In Literacy this week the children have been learning about determiners in our grammar work. They were able to identify these by finding the noun within the sentence first and then looking at the word before it. They have also been working beautifully on their gorilla report which they are writing up their final piece.

In maths this week we have started our work on fractions, looking for equivalents. The children have used their excellent knowledge of times tables to help them find equivalents, remembering the rule 'Whatever you do to the top of the fraction, you must do to the bottom.'

I hope you hall had a wonderful Christmas, it has been lovely to hear so many nice stories from the children.

Have a great weekend!

Mr Huddart and Mrs Lloyd :)
