Nunsmere class had great fun in the Explore Learning practical workshop!

In the workshop the children were having to think strategically against their partner on where they were going to place each number. This was a dice game where they had to complete various little maths problem solving games.

In topic this week we have been looking at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. The children learned a wonderful array of facts and information but also loved creating their own art works using water colours. I have been so impressed with their improving artistic ability, they're really looking carefully at what they're drawing. We are going to be comparing the Great Barrier reef to our own coastal sea life this week.

In Literacy we have been continuing to work on our Australian holiday brochure, they have been using persuasive language really well. In Maths, the children have been learning to add and subtract fractions with the same denominator. I have been so pleased with how they have tackled the challenge of having a different denominator!

I hope you had a lovely weekend!

Mr Huddart and Mrs Lloyd :)
