As it was World Maths Day on Wednesday, Nunsmere have enjoyed doing lots of fun, hands on maths activities!

They were tasked with a mathematical themed 'escape room', for which they had to solve maths problems to find digits of a code. They also used the computers to plan a holiday around a budget. The children used SkyScanner.com and Hotels.com to do this... who knew it was cheaper to fly to Brazil than it is to Corsica!

On Wednesday, the children enjoyed a trip to church for our Harvest service with Reverend Angela, who read a Bible story which encourages giving. The children shared some wonderful answers as to how we give in our daily life, whether it be our money or our time. They thoroughly enjoyed singing along to 'Harvest Rock and Roll' and some children shared their wonderful poems about Harvest.

In literacy this week, Nunsmere have been finishing their non-chronological reports about the Stone Age. Everyone has put such an amazing effort into their writing and I have absolutely loved reading them all!

The children loved sequencing the story of The Stone Age Boy and creating freeze frames from some of the scenes... we had a giggle trying to guess which scenes children were recreating!

Wishing everyone a happy weekend,

Miss Bate and Mrs Campbell
