This week, Nunsmere have been remembering those who served in the armed forces.

On Remembrance Day, we looked at the famous poem “In Flanders Fields” by John McCrae. The children then created an art piece with the poem by drawing single-line poppies over the top and then water colouring them. In science we have moved onto our new topic of “Animals Including Humans” and we have looked at the human digestive system. In topic this week the children have looked at Stonehenge, exploring the questions why it was built and when. They also created lovely Stonehenge artwork.

This week has been assessment week and the children have all worked incredibly hard to complete their assessments.

For Children In Need, the house captains set a fun dance challenge for the whole school to get involved in. Everyone loved joining in with the dance moves - head over to our school twitter to see the video!

It was lovely to speak to everyone during parents evening this week and I look forward to hopefully speaking to everyone in person some day soon.

Have a restful and happy weekend,
Miss Bate and Mrs Campbell
