Oakmere loved dressing up in a space theme this week!

The children looked amazing on World Book Day!  A big well done to you all, you designed fabulous costumes! The children really enjoyed meeting Damian Harvey, a famous author from North Wales and were gripped as they listened to his stories.  They also asked really interesting questions to understand how Damian Harvey became an author.  I was really impressed with their questions, well done Oakmere!

We made sure we took advantage of every sunny moment this week and had lots of experiences learning outside the classroom.  Here you can see the children ordering natural objects from smallest to largest.  They took their time to collect the resources and sit in the sun ordering them by size!

On Monday we will be going to Delamere Forest for the morning to take part in an environmental art exercise.  This is a free trip.  Please can children wear PE kits and footwear suitable for walking in the forest.  Please pack a spare pair of footwear to change into when we return to school.  Snack will be provided.  Light rain is forecast for Monday so please pack a waterproof jacket.  Thank you.

We wish you a happy and restful weekend,

Mrs Birks, Mrs Jones and Mr Ashworth.
