This week Oakmere delivered Collective Worship to the whole school.

In class, Oakmere worked in pairs to see the similarities and differences they had and produced their work in a Venn diagram.  The children noticed they had many similarities with each other and also different interests and their reasons why.  The main objective of the task was for the children to respect and value the thoughts and opinions of other people. Oakmere were wonderful and very respectful of each other.

On Wednesday, Oakmere delivered a fantastic Collective Worship to the school about care and respect.  The children included quotes and prayers from the bible about caring for each other and valuing our similarities and differences. I was very proud of every child, they all used clear voices for everyone to hear and with a happy smile too.  They definitely deserved a blue certificate and packet of chocolate buttons for their achievements!  Well done Oakmere.

In Literacy, we have continued to look at poetry and in Maths we have continued division, multiplication and time.  Please ensure reading books come into school each day, thank you.

Wishing you a happy and sunny weekend,

Mrs Birks, Mrs Jones and Mr Ashworth.
