This week Oakmere continued having fun with the bear hunt story!

The children sat together and brainstormed where would be great to act out each setting of the story within the school grounds!  They chose the tall willow walk area to be the swishy swishy grass, the large path of pebbles to be the river, the top of the path to be the squelch, squerch mud, the car park with the grey clouds above to be the snowstorm, the forest to stumble trip in and the large shelter to be the cave!  We had so much fun!  The children went into character brilliantly and used fantastic describing words throughout.  We were really proud!  A special thanks to Mrs Dodd for being the bear!

In maths this week we have continued with our place value and number work.  Next week it is space week and we have a virtual reality workshop to look forward to!

Thank you for all the wonderful homework pieces, once marked they are yours to store in the homework folder.  I'll return homework to you on Mondays.

Thank you for your continued support, have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Birks, Mrs Jones, Mr Ashworth and Mrs Dodd
