Oakmere learned about keeping personal information safe during internet safety day.

Internet safety is so important for children to learn about, now more than ever with the children spending so much more time online. As a class, we discussed which information we should/should not share online and looked at how we can ensure our passwords are strong. The children created some great posters to help other children learn!

Although it is the last week of half term and the children are looking forward to half term, they have continued to impress us with their positive attitudes and dedication to learning. In maths, the children have been tackling division through the grouping and sharing methods and have a fantastic understanding of this concept now. During our Literacy lessons, the children have been using imperative verbs to help them write instructions on how to catch a villain. Now if we ever come across a troll, dragon, witch or wizard we will be prepared!

In our topic lesson this week, the children loved learning about Delamere Forest and comparing this to the Amazon Rainforest. We were very impressed with how creative the children all got. We even had a rainforest in a jar!

We would like to thank all of the children, parents, grandparents and other adults at home for making this half term a great success! Despite the very strange circumstances, the children have all adapted incredibly well and they have all blown us away with their resilience and commitment to learning. This could not have been done without all of your support and encouragement at home. We know its not easy, especially when you have your own commitment to juggle too, but you are all doing a fantastic job!

We hope you all have a well deserved rest over the half term,

Miss Lewis, Mrs Carroll and Miss Seery
