The children thoroughly enjoyed listening to a wide range of poems to celebrate National Poetry Day on Thursday!

After belly-laughing at some of Michael Rosen's work, the children had a go at learning one of his poems, 'library'. The children created their own actions and had so much fun performing it. They were incredibly happy when they heard that Michael Rosen had seen their video!

In our other Literacy lessons, the children have been learning all about plurals and exploring more key vocabulary from our model text. They have really impressed us with their ability to incorporate these words into their own sentences.

In maths, we have been comparing numbers using equality symbols and looking at ordinal numbers. The children have demonstrated some fantastic reasoning this week.

In science, the children had so much fun investigating different objects and materials to see how they could change their shape. They worked brilliantly together and were able to clearly communicate their findings.

Earlier in the week, the children took part in a lovely Harvest collective worship with the rest of the school. In preparation for this, the children thought about what they are grateful for and wrote some wonderful prayers to share with the rest of the school.

We hope you have a relaxing weekend,

Miss Lewis and Mrs Garner.
