This week Oakmere Class have been extremely busy and creative. We have been learning about shapes in numeracy and have made some fantastic symmetrical shields for knights. The children have had fun making 3D castles and labelling the shapes used within, making repeating patterns and finishing and designing their own symmetrical pictures.

In Literacy the children have mind mapped and designed their own learning pathway for the unit 'Traditional Tales' and narrative story writing. They have gained confidence by exploring many speaking and listening activities and independent writing.

This week we have also been lucky enough to have a pottery artist in to help us make our own clay/pottery dragons and Greek God discs. They look amazing and the children have been fortunate enough to learn some new creative skills and design techniques.
