Some of the children from Pickmere visited Norton Priory this week.

The children, who were part of archaeology club, were learning all about bones. They learned how to age them and how they could accurately spot signs of disease and trauma. They even had the opportunity to try and put the skeleton back together!

Mrs Campbell was impressed with the behaviour and attitude of the children on this trip, you were a real credit to the school! Well done!

This week we have been working hard to learn the lines for our performance poetry piece for the KS2 Christmas Performance, they have been projecting their voices so well in the hall. They have also been singing their hearts out. Well done Pickmere!

In maths this week we have been learning to multiply using the column (short) method. This can be tricky when multiplying by 2 digits.

In Literacy we have been working hard to create our own newspapers on 'Queen of the falls'. We have been drafting and re-drafting to ensure it is to the best of our ability.

I hope you all enjoy the Christmas Fair and have a lovely weekend!
