Pickmere had a brilliant time on residential this week!

The children enjoyed learning how to canoe or kayak along the canal to the campsite. They worked extremely hard and all had lots of fun whether it be canoeing or kayaking. At the campsite, the children were very excited to pitch their own tents and cook their own evening meals on the trangia stoves. The children had pre-planned in class what they were going to be cooking and this was great fun! We ended the evening enjoying the sunshine, socialising with friends and playing a massive football match! The weather was beautiful once again on Tuesday and the children showed great effort and skill in order to kayak or canoe to the end point in Waverton. A huge well done to all of the children for taking on a new challenge and for working so hard. I was incredibly proud of you all.

In numeracy this week we have been looking at how to measure the perimeter of composite shapes and in Literacy we have been looking at descriptive language used by authors.

Have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend!
