Pickmere loved their Computing session this week!

This week in Computing the children in Pickmere were making their own quizzes using Purple Mash! The children were tasked to research information about local and international geography and cultures. This includes land marks, languages, flags and capital cities. Within the lesson they learned how to create a range of different type of questions. Making these eye catching and inviting to play, whilst challenging other friends in the class.

In Science this week the children were separating materials from a tray of sand. They need to think about how they were going to be able to remove: sand, pebbles, sugar, water and paper clips. They used a range of different methods to do this and planned out a fair investigation in order to do this. All groups were able to successfully remove the materials, well done!

In Literacy this week the children have been continuing their work on 'The Lost Happy Endings' text. They have been predicting what has been happening in the text, peer assessment each others work and editing an improving a set text.

In Maths we have been looking at area and perimeter. The children were looking at composite shapes and have been trying to find ways of calculating the answer.

Have a lovely weekend!
