We’ve all had a great final week having party food, making new year’s calendars, elf’s and solving Christmas mysteries.

At the start of the week we were treated to a fabulous production of Beauty and the Beast from the Schools West End Production Team. Pickmere joined in with various songs, actions and challenges throughout the production.

Throughout the week we have completed a lot of Christmas activities. In maths we have been solving the mysteries of the missing elf and in literacy we have been writing Christmas sentences focussing on year 5 grammar and punctuation. We have also been busy making Christmas cards, elf’s and calendars. Today children loved sharing their Christmas board games with each other and enjoyed playing these. Have a look on twitter for more photos!

We’ve been looking back this week on the children’s progress across this term. It’s amazing to see the progress that each and every child has made. They have all done themselves proud and worked their absolute hardest. You should be really proud of what they have all accomplished during this term. Thank you for all your support throughout this term, we have thoroughly enjoyed our time with the class, and it’s been great for me to get to know them all. Also, thank you all so very much for your kind, thoughtful and generous gifts and cards.

We hope you all have a lovely (germ free) Christmas and we look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for the spring term!
