This week we have taken part in lots of fun and thought-provoking activities as part of Children’s Mental Health Week.

On Monday, children were treated to an early morning Disco Fit session. We dimmed down the lights, got the disco balls going and the glow sticks waving. On Tuesday, we joined the team from LAMADA and discussed and expressed our emotions in different ways. Children had lots of great ideas and they were very mature during the many various scenarios introduced. On Wednesday, we had the pleasure of taking part in a nice relaxing ‘stretch and relaxation’ session.

Wednesday was a very busy day as Explore Learning also returned to school and challenged us with one of their literacy workshops. We became creative producers and children were challenged to write a radio advert using persuasive language. They investigated different purposes and audiences, as well as organising key information.

In between our wellbeing workshops, children have continued to edit and proofread their narratives based on ‘The Hunter’. During our maths lessons, we have looked at decimal points and fractions. Children have also had the opportunity to plan and cost a holiday to South Africa!

Thank you for the very prompt return of Bikeability letters. We hope you enjoy your extended weekend. See you Monday for our final week of the half term.
