Pickmere have produced some wonderful Christmas themed Grinch art today!

Pickmere thoroughly enjoyed having the opportunity to visit Santa on Monday.I managed to take a few photos during the children’s visit to Santa and these have been added to Google Classroom. Please feel free to log on and have a look through these. It was lovely to see so many children wanting to see Santa.

This week children have finished their creative writing narratives which have been based on an ‘Arctic Journey’. It has been really refreshing to see the levels of pride and care that children have taken in these. So many children have asked to take photocopies of their literacy home to share with parents – we hope you have been as impressed as we have!

In Science children have been learning about Friction. They thoroughly enjoyed planning, conducting and reviewing an investigation based on a car going down a ramp. They changed the surface to test the impact that this had on the wheel friction and traction.

A huge thank you for all of the beautiful cards, well wishes and generous gifts that Mr Ashworth and I have received over the past couple of days. We are very grateful and hope you all manage to have a lovely Christmas break.

See you in the new year!

Miss Wild, Mr Ashworth and Mr Taylor.
