All pupils who receive free school meals are entitled to a pupil premium.  Pupil premium entitles each child to receive funding which is spent directly on their education. A smaller amount is also available for families of service personnel, and looked after children receive a full allocation. Our aim is to make sure that this funding is used to support, enrich and enhance learning so that your child meets their maximum potential.

Should you be entitled to this funding, at the Academy we will draw up an individual plan with you to show you how we have allocated your money to support your child within their learning. If you require any more information on this, or to find out if you are entitled to free schools meals, please do not hesitate to contact the school or follow the link. All enquiries are treated in confidence.

As we have such a small number of pupils who receive pupil premium, in order to maintain the privacy of the pupils and families individual plans and funding allocation are kept in school. Should you wish to see an anonymous example of a plan or view the impact this money has had on pupil progress please contact the school directly.

Each child is supported differently depending on need. The funding is used to provide a range of academic, enrichment and educational support depending on each child's needs. This included:

  • Additional 1:1 support for Speaking and Listening.
  • Additional 1:1 support for Reading.
  • 1:1 support for basic skills provision.
  • Complete funding of all residentials and educational visits.
  • Free before and after school provision when required.
  • Sourcing and funding of holiday clubs.
  • Provision of school uniform and PE kit.

All children who have received pupil premium over the past three years have made progress in line with their targets set or better. The money has made a huge difference to the lives of our children. If you would like to know more about pupil premium please contact our SENDCO Beth  Hulme - who is the designated teacher for looked after children and previously looked after children, via the school office- This email address is being protected from spambots.
