It's been another very busy week for Sandymere this week!

On Tuesday we had a visitor from an inspirational story teller called Richard, he told us one of his stories about snails and slugs (also known as gastropods!). The children were so engaged that we spent our mac book slot researching more about slugs and snails as part of our science work this week.

Throughout this week we have been singing our Nativity songs and they are already sounding fantastic!

In our practical maths lesson of the week we went shopping! Each of the children had a set amount of money in coins and needed to use their addition knowledge to work out how much they could buy at the toy shops. It was great to see them applying their knowledge in a practical way.

In literacy this week we've started to explore character descriptions ready for some assessed writing starting in the coming weeks.

We've been busy today learning about Children in Need and linking our little chefs and CARE activity together, each of the children helped to make spotty biscuits to help us understand and celebrate the fantastic work of the Children in Need charity.

Thank you to all the parents who attended parents evening this week, it was lovely to meet with you all.

We hope you have a lovely weekend!
