This week Sandymere have started to learn about the features of a non-chronological report in preparation for writing their own next week.

We've been completing lots of group and pair work to really unpick what is included in a non-chronological report and how to recognise the features in a range of examples.

Next week we'll be writing our non-chronological reports on Lemurs, linking to our topic of Madagascar. As, did you know, Lemurs are only native to the island of Madagascar! In our mac book slot this week we began our research on Lemurs and have been learning lots of interesting facts to share in our non-chronological report. We're also looking forward to our trip after half term to visit the Lemurs at Reaseheath Collage.

Next week is also Children's Mental Health Week and we'll be taking parts in lots of exciting activities such as disco fit and a stretch and relax session to help children recognise the importance of exercise for mental health. In class we'll be completing lots of activity on kindness and recognising the impact the words we use can have on our friends. We hope it will be a really beneficial week for all the children.

We hope you have a lovely weekend,

Miss Hume, Mrs Garner and Miss Squires
