It’s been a great week in Sandymere with all the children working really hard in their classwork and assessments.

We have completed assessments this week to identify gaps in children’s knowledge to support our class planning in the future. The children have worked really hard and we’ve been really impressed by how much effort they’ve put in.

As well as assessments we’ve been taking part in literacy and maths lessons. We started our literacy focus reading The Way Back Home by Oliver Jeffers, we’ll be completing an art afternoon next Thursday based on Oliver Jeffers’ books. Please can you provide your child with an oversized old tee shirt that can be worn over their PE kit to protect it.

Today we took the children on the climbing frame as a Friday treat for working so hard this week. It was lovely to see the children all playing so brilliantly together.

Thank you to everyone who has submitted their homework this week using our Google Classroom platform, Purple Mash platform and MyMaths platform. It is very much appreciated that you are taking the time to complete homework this way.

We hope you have a lovely weekend.
