This has been another fantastic week in Sandymere.

We started the week by taking part in a rather wet LOTC day with Mark and Steve from Get Outside the Classroom. The focus for the session was on survival linking to our topic and science work. The children were really well behaved and were so enthusiastic about all of the activities even though the weather wasn’t the best. It was brilliant to see the children work together in teams and support each other to complete all of the activities. A big thank you to Mark and Steve for coming into school.

On Thursday this week it was World Maths Day and Sandymere spent the afternoon taking part in lots of practical maths activities that challenged their place value knowledge. It was really good for the children to apply their learning in a fun and practical way.

This week we have started writing our diary entries for The Way Back Home and will be finishing them off next week before we start a new literacy topic after half term.

We hope you have a lovely weekend,

Miss Hume, Mrs Lloyd and Mrs Dodd
